Raja Ampat
& Cendrawasih Bay
West Papua,
Indonesia.
An enormous expanse, covering a huge range of what is widely considered to be the best tropical diving in the world, Raja Ampat offers unparalleled corals, dense shoals of fish, and spectacular pelagic life.
The whalesharks of Cendrawasih Bay have long since enjoyed a peaceful and close relationship with the local fisherman, who consider their presence good luck, and feed the enormous creatures. They are completely unafraid of humans, and display marked curiosity at the presence of divers in the water.
